DAILY CAFFEINE SHOT

'But first coffee'.. Yes, this is everyday reality when we wake up. We desperately need our daily caffeine shot to start off our day. Thank god, we live in a city with a real coffee culture. There are so many cool coffee shops where we hang out for hours. We love to chit chat surrounded by fellow 'cafe au laiters' and 'espressionites'. Coffee is a social thing here, it's a lifestyle.
New Yorkers do business at these coffee shops on a regular basis (super fast wifi). Americans like to network the entire day, it's in their blood, so be prepared to meet some interesting people while you sip your coffee.

Our favorites in Soho and Lower East Side:

La Colombe Noho: This is de real deal baby. Very very popular coffee shop with amazing coffee. Simple interior without any distractions, it's all about their coffee. You pay 4 bucks for a a small latte, but hey, wait until you see what 'size small' looks like in the US..

Botega Falai Soho: Not your regular coffee shop, it's an Italian deli. At least 3 times a week we are getting our coffee here. It's the Itailian vibe that attracts us: original Italian coffee (made with love) served by Italian people. Sandwiches are amazing, especially the focaccia with mozzarella. We always sit at the window and watch people passing by. Good to know; Wifi is super fast, so we do many of our Facetime sessions with our friends in Amsterdam out here..

Everyman Espresso East Village: This is an interesting coffee shop, because the Classic Stage Theatre is located inside the building. You will find here great artists reading books beween their rehearsals. The staff is beyond friendly, you feel really welcome. For one year straight Vita came here every day. Her school Peridance is across the street so Everyman was her second home. While relaxing on the outside bench she met some famous actors.

Why Not LES: Best working spot ever. During the day it is super crowded; hard working people typing on their laptops like maniacs. Lots of seating, but sometimes it can be hard to get a seat. Once seated, it's definitely worth the wait. After 7pm there is a no laptop policy; it turns into a cute wine place with live music. We love it!
