MY SISTER, MY SELF

Sisters. Sometimes we ask ourselves; how do people make it through life without a sister?
As kids we were always together and playing around. Now we are older we are still 24/7 together. It sounds very cliché, but we are truly best friends. We party hard, we sleep often in the same bed, we make each other coffee and of course we borrow (steal) each others clothes.

However, it's not always rainbows and butterflies. Sometimes we want to slap each other in the face. Years ago when Uggs were the musthave in every girls closet, Elise stole the brand new pair of Vita. She spilled red wine on the light brown boots. She didn't want Vita to find out so she thought it was a clever idea to put them in the washing machine. Not a good idea. They came out even worse. Oops. Vita was furious, but that didn't last because Elise surprised her with tickets for the concert of Justin Timberlake. All good.

As you can imagine there can be drama between us - extreme love and extreme anger. We wouldn't want to change it for a thing. Ever.
You don't know who you are without asking who she is,  it's like your sister is you and not you.

The vodka brand is Amsterdam Republic Vodka, by far the best vodka we've ever tasted!

PLEASURE TO MEET YOU MR. GEORGE

Hell yeah, summer in Amsterdam is in full swing!

Glad to be back in our hometown Amsterdam and hang out with our friends and family. It's bloody hot out here so we try to escape to the beach as much as possible.
Dutchies always complain about their ugly beaches, but we disagree. Last week we went to Zandvoort (most popular beach of Holland) and we found a real gem to hang out.

Recently opened George No.5 has it all; a St. Tropez styled beach club with luxury lounge beds and an all white terrace. This place is especially popular with trendy sun-worshippers, who like a bit of luxury. Guess this is the ultimate place to soak up the sun and go home with a healthy tan.

We had such a lovely afternoon with a delicious lunch at the beach while watching some hot kitesurfers catching waves. Yum. If you want a real summertime treat, go to George No.5 and sip your aperitif while watching the sun go down.

Wait! Stop! Did we mention it has a swimming pool? What are you waiting for? Sunglasses on – let’s go!

SUMMERTIME, AND THE LIVIN' IS EASY

From springtime to summertime, THAT'S the time you want to be in New York. The moment where you hang up your winter coat for good, grab your sunglasses and prepare for some fun in the sun. Say hello to short dresses, rooftop cocktails and lots of ice cream. Hallelujah!
We love this time of the year so much, because it's like everyone wakes up from their hibernation and is ready to rumble.
Enjoy our photo diary and stay tuned for some sticky summer pics soon.

GREEN FAIRY TALE

Mondrian Hotel was stunning from the moment we walked in. A row of green plants are leading you to the doors that will get you into this hotel. What a gorgeous entrance.

We are in love with their rooftop (soon more about that) and their Italian restaurant Isola is absolutely magical. It is a 5,000 square foot greenhouse space that feels like a fairy tale. The restaurant features high ceilings, enormous crystal chandeliers and glass ceilings creating an open air feel. The ambiance in the restaurant is everything and the food is to die for.

Go there for a chique Sunday brunch or for a romantic dinner with your date. Make sure you order the Tartufo because it is next level.

YOU BETTER WORK IT OUT

Even though I dance every day, I really like a good work out to keep my core strong.
First of all, I absolutely hate the gym. You'll never find me there. I mean why would you go inside a boring place, while you can exercise outside in the sun? Believe me, you really don't need much for a good work out.

My work out mantra:

30 jumping jacks
20 high knees
30 squats
20 leg lifts
20 jumping jacks
30 high knees
30 crunches
20 squats
30 leg lifts
10 push ups
1 minute plank

After doing those kind of exercises, its really important to stretch (especially for dancers) because you want to keep your muscles long. To make it more fun and relaxing, I always mix it up with some yoga moves. Make sure you drink a lot of water.

Once again, you don't need much for a good work out that keeps you in shape. All you need is your body, a little motivation and some good company.

Stay tuned for my weekly health tip. Namaste!
